GOVERNOR KAINE ISSUES "VIRGINIA TECH REVIEW PANEL"
EXECUTIVE ORDER (No. 53-2007)

Governor Kaine yesterday issued an executive order to provide formal clarification of the authorization he gave to the Panel to conduct its review of the April 16 tragedy at Virginia Tech.

The Executive Order, (No. 53-2007) titled "The Virginia Tech Review Panel," outlines the mission of the Panel and clarifies its responsibilities, powers and authority.

The executive order is posted on the Governor's website at: http://www.governor.virginia.gov/Initiatives/ExecutiveOrders/index.cfm

A copy also is posted on the Virginia Tech Review Panel website under the "Documents" button at: http://www.vtreviewpanel.org/docs.

The Panel has completed its work and is no longer accepting correspondence via postal mail.
